    How to write a great resume for hiring manager

    Forgetting to list accomplishments is one of the top mistakes job seekers make when writing a resume. Instead of just putting your prior tasks to the hiring manager, highlight success to show the value you can bring to the company. Highlight achievements will increase job seeker credibility with the hiring manager and help you move to the next phase of the hiring process. 

    Use action verbs in your Resume

    When looking for jobs, the format of your resume can make all the difference. For this reason, instead of using passive words in your resume, put action verbs.     Remove outdated information

    The hiring managers will quickly check your resume to see if you are a suitable fit. Remove any out-of-date information that might not be relevant to the position to ensure that they just examine the important sections of your resume. For example, if you have been working for ten years, leave irrelevant things from your resume. The space that could be better used to explain why you are a good fit for the position would not be included if you put this information. 

    Modify Resume based on JD

    If you just write a general resume, it can take less time, but you might not get any interviews. For each position you apply for, you don’t necessarily need to rewrite your whole resume. However, it is good to change your resume to the job description. Try and make a few resumes that work with the various categories of jobs you’re interested in. 

    Spelling check and Grammar errors

    For the majority of the time, attention to detail is necessary. If your resume has various grammar and spelling errors, the hiring manager will not take it seriously. Make sure everything on your resume is written clearly and with correct spelling by doing a full review. This only takes a few minutes, but it can significantly impact how you get a job interview.
